In this year as well, all those who are already in the subsidized student meal system (SŠP) have the right to extend it remotely for the upcoming academic year starting from September 1, 2023. These students will not need to make a personal visit to the SŠP Points for the upcoming year; instead, they can extend their right through the SŠP application or the website www.studentska-prehrana.si by confirming their intention to continue benefiting from the SŠP.

They can do this in two ways:
- In the application, in their personal profile, they select "Dovoli podaljšanje"
- In their personal profile on the website www.studentska-prehrana.si, they select "Dovoli podaljšanje"

For students who are enrolling in the SŠP system for the first time, a first visit to the SŠP Points is still required starting from September 1, 2023.

For mobile users with the Android operating system, we have enabled a new option to use subsidies with the contactless NFC technology. In the settings of application “Študentska prehrana”, enable NFC option by choosing the “NFC identification”.

Some Subsidized Student Meals offices will allow early enrollment in the Subsidized Student Meals system for the academic year 2019/2020 as early as September. If you are already enrolled at an educational institution, it is advisable to avail the opportunity and enroll in the system as soon as possible before the lines and crowds form in front of the offices. Furthermore, early enrollment will be possible at selected student clubs across Slovenia and not just in university towns. From October 1, 2019, all students who cannot prove their entitlement to subsidized student meals for the following period will be blocked from the system until they anew their enrollment at an educational institution. Whereas the system operates automatically, subsidized student meals will not be available, including those eventually unclaimed over the past few months. These will be available again only after reactivation of status on presentation of suitable supporting documents.

In order to avoid unnecessary lines and crowds we encourage you to enroll in the system for the new academic year as soon as possible.
