If your eligibility for subsidised student meals was not extended automatically, even though you have a valid student status and did not temporarily interrupt your studies or transfer to another study programme during the previous academic year, select “Check status” in your personal profile or contact your nearest SŠP registration point.

Please note: Students who temporarily interrupted their studies during the previous academic year will not have their eligibility extended automatically. In this case, select “Check status” in your personal profile.

If you temporarily interrupted your studies or transferred to a new study programme during the previous academic year and, as a result, your student status ended early, your eligibility will not be extended automatically. In your personal profile or the app, select “Check status”.

Has your eligibility not been automatically extended even though your student status is valid? In this case, select “Check status” as well or contact your nearest SŠP registration point.

All users who are already in the subsidized student meals system (SŠP) and already have, or will have by the end of September, an active student status for the academic year 2026/27, do not need to extend their rights for the upcoming year, as they will be renewed AUTOMATICALLY.

This means that visiting an SŠP point is not necessary, nor do you need to extend the rights in the application. You can access your personal profile HERE.

For students enrolling in the SŠP system for the first time, the initial visit to an SŠP point is still required. The mobile application is available here:

Some Subsidized Student Meals offices will allow early enrollment in the Subsidized Student Meals system for the academic year 2025/2026 as early as September. If you are already enrolled at an educational institution, it is advisable to use the opportunity and enroll in the system as soon as possible before the lines and crowds form in front of the offices. Furthermore, early enrollment will be possible at selected student clubs across Slovenia and not just in university towns. 2. For students who are already in the Subsidized Student Meals system, the right to subsidized student meals, for the academic year 2025/2026, will be automatically extended.

In order to avoid unnecessary queues and crowds we encourage you to enroll in the system for the new academic year as soon as possible.
